  • How is Flux Licensed?

Flux is a Java application licensed per physical or virtual server where Flux is installed. Any number of workflows can be executed or defined on a Flux installation.

Flux is generally licensed as a perpetual license plus annual support and maintenance. Subscription licensing is also available. License types are as follows:

Cold Disaster RecoveryPer individual physical or virtual server and available processor cores: 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 128+Deployed on a single (physical or virtual) computer running a single operating system, or a single virtual machine, that only runs the Flux application in the event the production application is unavailable due to a system or network outage.
Warm Disaster RecoveryPer individual physical or virtual server and available processor cores: 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 128+Deployed on a single (physical or virtual) computer running a single operating system. This license allows running the Flux application at all times, but does not allow running production workflows unless the production application is unavailable due to a system or network outage.
AgentPer instance.

Deployed on a single (physical or virtual computer) running a single operating system that uses a Flux Agent.

Quality Assurance / TestingPer individual physical or virtual server and available processor cores: 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 128+. Quality Assurance Licensed servers require Flux to be restarted every 28 days.Deployed on a single (physical or virtual) computer running a single operating system that is used for quality assurance purposes, such as performance, integration, or system testing.
DevelopmentPer individual developer workstation, or a development server supporting up to 5 developers, or a development server supporting 6 or more developers. Development Licensed servers require Flux to be restarted every 7 days.Deployed on a single (physical or virtual) computer running a single operating system, that is accessible by the specified number of developers.
EvaluationPer individual developer workstation. Evaluation licenses require Flux to be restarted every 7 days. An evaluation license only lasts for 30 days from the day the evaluation is downloaded from the Flux website.Deployed on a single (physical or virtual) computer running a single operating system, that is accessible by a single developer. Cannot be used for anything other than evaluation purposes.
Annual Support and Maintenance20% of the list price of purchased licenses of all types. First year purchase of annual support and maintenance is required for new purchases.Includes access to Releases or Workarounds that are made generally available to customers and providing email and telephone technical support regarding the use and function of the Software.
